Re: Standards-- Protocols - For Michael |
Hi Michael, There was a time when a whole group of we sensitives posted here together and we had a scorekeeper named Ken. Not only did he keep track of the predictions and hits, he let us know we needed to tighten up our predictions. We had one month where we hit an astounding 95%. Those were the days! We have to be honest with ourselves. The scientific community who governs real life predictions has already set a standard and protocols. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Alan Jones is following the given standard. So those who wish to submit for his consideration their predictions will have someone keeping score in a manner that is worthy of the time and effort. Each of us has an interest that remains the same. To try and find a given method that produces repeatable results. If you do the research and keep your nose to the gridstone, the answers are already there. However, timing is everything. I'm going back to the beginning right now. I want to follow the instructions by Charlotte King and when I've followed those to the letter, then I know what I'm looking for in methodology will be present. Don and I are doing some very serious research on the Rodgers Creek Fault. I've got a sleeping giant sitting in my backyard and also a darn good study area close to home. Not a bad combination for a researcher. Lots of material. Michael, we cannot all be tightening up predictions to your satisfaction because we are still learning from the materials we have at hand. In this learning process, we come here to share with each other and from the sharing we receive more education. "We" in the most part aren't ready for a tight prediction. But we are working on it. Be patient with us, the students. While you are being patient with us, you might wish to take on an area of interest to you and study it to death. Find every tid bit of information you can, go see it, feel it, sense it and once you know it, go ahead and post your predictions and show us what you can do. Sometimes its really easy and other times very difficult. But you can't be where we are until you walk in our shoes. Trying to keep dry up north....Petra
