The first week is sometimes very hard for people, but after that it's not so bad. Hardest part is breaking those habit triggers: the telephone, coffee, after swinging from the chandeliers, etc. Experts say it takes 21 days to fully break a habit. (I can vouch for that BTW.) Then around 5 months, I've heard the urge comes back for some inexplicable reason. It did with me, but I just sucked on lifesavers and wore the rubber band again until it passed. It's great to be cigaret free now for a quarter of a century. What a wonderful New Year's/Millennium gift you will be giving yourself. Congrats! Cathryn
