Here in California you have to read the text of the laws to get a sense of what they are really trying to accomplish. That puts most of the voters ahead of the representatives (who are hopefully GONE) who did not read the text of the Patriot Act. I hope that Pelosi gives Bush the ol' schoolmarm's lecture at the lunch he has set up.

On topic: With California being the home state of the Speaker of the House, will more money be appropriated for research into earthquake prediction and RETROFITTING THE BRIDGES?
