Re: Earthquake Warning October 26, 2006 |
Mr. Williams, I was one of the two people who developed the bulletin board – E mail circulation system from which this present bulletin board and the Yahoo EarthWaves boards both evolved. At that time I felt that earthquake researchers needed a communications resource which was a little better protected than the Newsgroups. And you and the other people posting notes here would probably not be doing that if it were not for my efforts, as this board would likely not even exist. I am presently working on the development of a successor to it which should be a little better suited for scientists and other researchers. I have also worked with Roger in the creation of several earthquake forecasting related computer programs, one of which is available for general use and is probably in use at the moment in the People’s Republic of China. And I would be surprised if he or Shan or any of the other people posting here with whom I talk and compare notes, liked your comments. As you are posting on what might be regarded as my turf, so to speak, you could try to be a little more polite. These are personal opinions.
