Acceleration In Creep
|

Hi All. The acceleration of the Calaveras fault at the SJB data cannot be accounted for. To see this kind of acceleration there would have to have been an earthquake. On 13 Jan. 2000 there was a rapid increase in tensor strain with a drop. Some other people noted this who have much more experience reading and understanding the data then I do. The problem is that the drop was not equal to the increase. Now then this means one of two things. The data is bad, or we are in for a good shake in the Bay Area south and this is the beginning of that earthquake. Take Care. Don in creepy town.
