I don't feel hypocenters and focal mechanisms are necessary in reporting a prediction. However, thinking on it for a few seconds, I wouldn't be surprised when a truly scientifically validated prediction mechanism is developed that such information would be intrinsic to the prediction. When you figure out one, you automatically get the other.
