Wondering if you have a chance to get around the area. If you go south on Hwy 86
you can see the Salton Sea. If you go further south you could take the Borrego Salton Seaway to Borrego Springs. You will cross the main branches of the San Jacinto fault. Interesting geology there. Also in the mountains to the west of Hwy 86 you can see the waterline of Lake Cauhilla. Not sure if you have been down this way before.
