Stan Deyo has a similar problem. He regularly makes 'forecasts' for areas which have never recorded an earthquake.

To me, it shows a fundamental lack of understanding in earthquakes in general. One doesn't go to Las Vegas and play blackjack without understanding how the game works, and expect to win.
