Let's talk Martin @ nice |
Hi All, As far as I can tell, on another board Martin made an accurate prediction for the New Zealand earthquakes. Martin, unless I have miscalculated UTC time to PDS time, you have another major hit. Your track record is amazing. You have a real ability to distinguish the everyday little tremor from what prove to be foreshocks to significantly larger events. Do you keep records on your accuracy? If not, somebody should be doing this for you. You missed Aptos (thank goodness), but you are right so much of the time it is awe-inspiring. Not only that, but you have the humility to post when you have a miss. Am I the only one who believes Martin is really on to something, here? I know he bases his predictions on foreshocks, but as far as I can tell, that is a perfectly legitimate means of forecasting earthquakes. The skill seems to come into play when ferreting out the foreshocks from the diurnal little quakelettes around the globe. I hope the EQ powers that be start paying attention to your predictions. I think you need to link up with some people doing some serious scientific EQ prediction studies. Either you are very mathmatical, very prescient, or both.
