Re: Despite R/W Claims, Gore Never Claimed ... |
Hah! Yes, it is at times, Roger. I should have been more specific. Let's say I have a crappy week. Without telling the astrologer I had a crappy week, I ask one to tell me if any significant transits are going on. The astrologer spells out all kinds of ominous squares and oppositions (we just had a doozie for about the last two weeks—notice anything unusual during that time?) and I come away thinking, "Dang. There's another case of astrology having been right. I wonder why the odds are that it is right most of the time. Conversely, I can be having a wonderful week. I ask my astrologer is there are any significant transits going on. Astrologer takes a peak and sees Jupiter on my natal sun sign and trines all over the place. This isn't deterministic reasoning after the fact. I can't explain what it is only to say it is true for me more than it is false.
