Hi Dennis. I’m inclined to agree with you. At first I was thinking that this series of quakes were related to the San Rafael Swell, but after checking the location of the 1988 quake I found that this swarm is to far to the west to have any connection.

The quakes do appear to be associated with a known fault the name of which I don’t know at present, but hope to by tomorrow.

I have read a couple of articles on and about the Basin and Range and found both of them interesting. I find it rather remarkable that earthquakes not only destroy, but that they can also create and in some cases do it on a very large scale. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
