Re: Despite R/W Claims, Gore Never Claimed ...

LOL! I have no beef to offer regarding any of your arguments. In fact, I tend to agree with you although I am enough of a non-scientist to still think that there might be something to something "unscientific".

My main trouble is that I don't understand a whole heck of a lot. I did, at one time, have something of an understanding of the claims of the ear tone group and tried to get some answers about things from their leader - you know how that played out.

All in all, I think I've learned from my time here that none of the pre-cursary items discussed have been deemed consistently valuable. I believe dogs bark at odd things, but I don't see evidence to suggest they provide a measurable predictor of earthquakes. I believe people can hear tones, but don't see how that could be coming from ground thats not generating measurable waves. I think the term "unseasonably warm" is scary, but don't believe there is enough documented correlation to support a belief in earthquake weather.

Anyway Mike. I hope some of the folks who hold strong beliefs in these various theories do come along and give you (and the rest of us) some good beef. Its a good way to learn and understand. Escpecially when the conversation remains friendly.
