Nice post, very informative. Requiring quake insurance will only be a boon to the CEOS of the insurance companies and no benefit at all to people who will be driven into bankruptcy trying to come up with a 15,000.00 deductible on a 300,000.00 home, which by the way is *below* the median price in California.

It's way too expensive.
