I refused coverage on my house in Long Beach - I forget the price now, but it was rather ridiculous - now they did offer a reasonable price on a house I have in Monarch Beach, $300 a year, so I took insurance out on that one. I personally feel the threat is higher there than Long Beach, but the insurance companies know best!

I just re-checked - it's now down to $600 a year for 15% deductible (that's $30,000 deductible) - $5000 on contents and $1500 living expenses... and the Long Beach house has half the value of the other one! Or $930 for a 10% deductible, $25K on contents and $5000 living expenses..
