Russell really nailed it. He even guessed the dysfunction. (One of his three.) And yes, left unchecked this illness is potentially harmful to self/others, hence my concern for this person.

I'm going to leave this question up as this is a holiday weekend and a lot of members might want to weigh in come Tuesday. Or not. In either case, it gives me lots to consider.
