Re: This Week in Geophysics |
You sure use this place like it was a blog location... And once again I was able to demonstrate there is yet another way to predict earthquakes using concentric circles as Dennis Gentry used to. It's not a hugely valuable way to do so, but the most important thing is that there is a piece of simple equipment I used to make this prediction and it works. Dennis's theory wasn't based on concentric circles.. it was based on radio/astronomical type signals, along with other triggers/behaviors and he used concentric rings in his predictions to note the magnitude of what was about to happen would be bigger the further away from him that it was - given signal strength versus distance.. I think by your mentioning of Dennis in the same way of the prediction of a 6 somewhere is belittling to Dennis.. your probability of a hit on a 6 in the time frame was about 82.5%... Here is a prediction given by Dennis http://www.earthwaves.org/wwwboard/messages/4700.html As for Don's prediction, I saw him post something about it, but I've been very busy being out of town and back in town doing work and other volunteer duties. And honestly I can't get too excited about a 2.4 earthquake being predicted along the SAF... I was impressed with Glen's location in the Salton Trough, even though he isn't impressed... I'm glad your surgery was a success and that life can now get back to 'normal. ...
