Hi Don, Just a note in passing. I can say for certain I did not hear the earthquake south of you. My hearing range doesn't allow me to hear anything of that size in that distance. Therefore, I heard a quake that hasn't occurred yet, or I heard Markleville and completely missed the area I thought it was going to arrive in. Yes indeed, I was wrong. However, now thanks to your introducing me to Charlotte King and some valued words of wisdom exchanged, I've learned from an expert how to sort the wheat from the chaff. What did she say that was so important? Nothing that dazzling. She simply said, note the sound, and if it repeats itself 3 times and you can clarify from where it came, then you know you can use it. My problem and what I think may be universal for most tone sensitives is the frequency of hearing the sounds. If they occur only randomly and arean't in the water or in a volcanic zone, they can be difficult to place if an earthquake only arrives seldomly. For anyone who doesn't know, off shore earthquakes sound just like hearing a sound in a swimming pool with your head underwater and volcanic sounds, sound scratchy, not clear. So that's for the note Don. Petra
