Hi Cathryn. How is the neck doing, or have you had the operation yet? I think this may be what your looking for. Take Care…Don in creepy town. ANNUAL FATALITIES DUE TO NATURAL DISASTERS February 3, 1998 As part of a recent company-funded study Dr. Frank Tatom of Engineering Analysis Inc. has compiled an accurate, up-to-date summary of the average annual rate of fatalities caused by earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods during the time period from 1950 to 1997. The results are as follows: ANNUAL FATALITIES DUE TO NATURAL DISASTERS Average Annual Disaster Type Time Period Fatalities Source Earthquakes 1950-1997 9 [1] Hurricanes 1950-1990 52 [2] Tornadoes 1950-1997 88 [3] Floods 1950-1997 110 [4] As noted in the table, floods are the number one cause of death, followed by tornadoes.
