Moment Tensor Solutions |
Hi Chris. The “moment tensor solutions” show down slip as the predominate movement. They could use seismograms from different stations, the frequency band in which they filter the seismograms can be different, and lastly and most likely, they could be using different methods (e.g., one does a body wave solution from P and S waves in the time domain, whereas another group could be looking at surface waves in the frequency domain, and a third group looking at free oscillation data). I use the NEIC data to save myself any problems. It may not be correct, but to be consistent I use their data. Take Care…Don in creepy town
