Cathryn, It was not required to attend in period costume, but a friend of mine in the city told me about it several months ago so I went to the costume shop and selected the outfit. Not included in the photo was my black 3/4 length velvet cape. There were some wonderful costumes worn that day and especially furs and hats with feathers. It really was my kind of event. And there were more than enough gentlemen wearing suits which made them look much like Hercule Poirot, including artificial mustaches. A friend who is in Hollywood has been giving me some tips for my web site and suggested I add a lot more photos. And David Hill was kind enough to let me post the photo of him and Dr. Roy Bailey who has passed on. This year I'm hoping to video tape the tour as well as take some new photos, but I think he's going to have to take off the hat. Hats are problematic in the sun. He looks good with or without it, so it doesn't matter. I don't have the facts on when those two 100 year intervals occured, but it was included in the documentary, "Where the fault lies" of which I have four copies. They were trenching out in Marin, north of Bolinas when they made the discovery. And they made it abundantly clear we are at the 100 year line and so we have to get ready. Santa Rosa where I am is on borrowed time, between the Rodgers Creek Fault and the SAF and boy don't I know that. I think I know a little bit more than perhaps some others as I've been documenting the Santa Rosa Hum. Its a vibration which the fault has been producing which I noted not long after moving here 20 months ago. However, the Hum is no more. It stopped a little over a month ago or so. I sit right on top of the fault so information is a little easier to gleem at times. So I guess I'll find out when that last tooth on the comb breaks and the old RCF makes that last speedy movement. We could get another 5.6 or go for the big kahuna 7.0. There's no way to tell. However, if this part of the fault is the same as in Bennett Valley then my ears should ring constantly before it happens. The last clue? I don't know. I'm glad you enjoy the photos, every one was taken when I was having a very good time. Petra
