Hi Glen: I asked a question earlier about the overall movement of the state. Meaning "are we moving north, or south" etc. I understand that California is creeping northward. When you think about the reactive quake idea, do you think that quakes in one area leading to quakes in another are part of a kind a "balancing act" as the amount of strain caused by a series of quakes in one area is "balanced" by a quake or quakes in another as a part of the overall northward movement? Am I making ANY sense at all? Wow! What I am TRYING to ask is whether or not you think there is a mechanism at work here akin to rocking a heavy piece of furniture in order to move it across the room. Left side moves, right side moves,left side moves and so on... If so, do you think a predictive model could be based on which area is likely to move next in order to find equilibrium and facilatate the overall creep in one direction?
