Shan...Your second paragraph is very hard to understand, but I think you may be mis-interpreting the article that you linked to: there is a small unbroken patch between the 2004 and 2005 ruptures. But, this patch is not large enough to make anything close to a M9...probably not large enough for a M8. The 1833 rupture areas is not there...it is south of the 2005 rupture: south of the equator. As I and others have posted a year ago and since then, and as your link says, this area can have a Great quake any time.
