Thank you very much for your response to a total novice. I have been watching Parkfield with interest for years - but it seems odd that we would see small quakes near Cholame - Palmdale (Little Rock) and the southern end of the San Andreas all within a few days. I know that the San Andreas would rupture in segments when it is time.

I really appreciate all of you that take time to explain quakes and prediciton - I learn so much from all of you.
