Re: More About Seeps (Tony, Have A Look) |
Hi - I've been incommunicado for about a week with all kinds of craziness in court. Lordy. Thanks for that information. IMHO - Someone should get out and do some measurements on the seeps at Towsley Canyon. They have grown considerably over the last few weeks. Further, it is not only oil, but water seepage. All this came to my attention when I was making certain observations at Placerita Canyon. The bubbler at Placerita was notably more active. Also, at Towsley, the sulfur smell in the lower region (bottom of the canyon) has become noticably stronger. The oil seeps are reaching out into virgin territory. Wouldn't it be great if there was a correlation between this and quake activity? As an aside, the striations from some of the views on the Towsley Canyon Loop Trail are remarkable. There has been so much pressure that some of the striations are actually inverted.
