About That New Information |
John, I'll let you clarify this situation. I know you said that "scientists loved precursory earthquake anomalies." Well Tony posted on this board something interesting regarding oil bubbling up in the hills above Santa Clarita. I have yet to hear of any scientist who has taken an interest in this and considering it happened before Northridge, I find it alarming that there is no interest. I take it that you personally are not interested as I haven't seen any signs of any interest; but what do you think should happen? The earthquake so you can make a correlation after the fact, or figure it out ahead of time? You're not the only person I have posed this to, there are five others to date. I find it odd, but maybe it's not. I just want to know what if anything is important in the eyes of an earth scientist prior to an earthquake. Does it have to come from an instrument only? I hope no one ever posts anything about a huge increase in rats coming out in the daytime, because I've heard some scientists would go and see them. Of course, that's the last place they should be; so its more interesting than the oil in the hills. I'm puzzled.
