That explains a lot in my case. I was driving down the Palisades Parway a year ago with my daughter, and meant to exit at exit 5, and suddenly exit 6 (the following one) was there, and my watch suddenly (?) was 10 minutes slow. I assumed I had just driven through a time warp because of the extra time, but your theory would explain a lot. I think this happened twice. Maybe they took out my brain the first time and put it back in (or the brain of some other mammal) the second time. I have not changed my watch battery and this has not happened again...it keeps perfect time....well...sort of.
