I can tell you from experience, that book tours are often planned by the author, not the publisher (unless you are Stephen King). I have booked myself, the author of "The Man Who Predicts Earthquakes," and Mr. Berkland (the man himself) at B&N bookstores: SF, San Bruno, Walnut Creek, Roseville, Seattle, Chico...We will be visiting Los Angeles in late May/June.
