Yeah, I noticed that to. Have no idea what it means, if anything. Yes, there is an open pit mine at Boron. There were two EQs near Boron when I posted my prediction. One I could place at the mine, so thought that was a manmade explosion. The other was a mile or two outside the quarry, so didn't know the cause of that one. 1.9 2006/02/27 15:32:16 35.039N 117.687W 0.1 4 km ( 2 mi) NW of Boron, CA 2.4 2006/02/26 16:52:27 35.028N 117.657W 2.7 1 km ( 1 mi) NNE of Boron, CA The 1.9 I placed at the Mine. Also notice the depth is basically at the surface. Double checked it with a peek at the Google Maps satellite view, and see a big old open pit mine at that location .. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=35.039N+117.687W++&ll=35.038992,-117.687006&spn=0.032467,0.085831&t=k The 2.5, was 2.7km deep, and the Google Maps satellite views shows it being outside of the Quarry. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=35.028N+117.657W++&ll=35.028028,-117.656965&spn=0.032471,0.085831&t=k The more recent EQ .... 2.5 2006/03/01 09:48:30 35.119N 117.550W 3.0 15 km ( 9 mi) NE of Boron, CA I place outside of the quarry also, and it is also at a 3km depth ... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=35.1186%C2%B0N,+117.5501%C2%B0W&ll=35.118575,-117.550106&spn=0.032435,0.085831&t=k And here is some info on the mine itself ... "This mine is the largest open pit mine in California, and the largest borate mine in the world, supplying more than half of the world's borates, and it employs over 800 people." http://ludb.clui.org/ex/i/CA4982/
