Thanks Petra. I intend to follow up on it. This is one of the reasons I am posting these observations here. The sulfur vent was particularly intersting - especially where the sulfur had covered recently fallen leaves.

If you can pass along the e-mail, I would appreciate it. I plan to get back there - and Placerita Canyon - and shoot some photos.
