Hi Everyone,

Since were dredging up old SSA articles this evening, I wanted to share my personal favorite, written by Lowell Whiteside and his opinion about earthquake forecasting long before he took the position as a forecaster.

The first time I read this article I swear I heard music. It struck a chord with me and still does today. And as a direct result of reading this single article in time he became my friend and still is today. I know many people don't agree with his work, I do, but I also happen to know someone I admire and respect and I am proud to say he is a person who lives his convictions just as I do and for that we'll probably fry in hell for it. But so be it.
