I have found earthquake insurance in CA to be cost prohibitive. And after an event, the deductible is enormous. We would have to have damages over 20% of the value of our property to even see a dime from our insurance company. Maybe it is different up in Santa Rosa, but after Loma Prieta, premiums went through the roof down here in Santa Cruz County.
