I was recently invited here and just wanted to give a short introduction to everyone.

My name is Brian, and I've been actively interested in seismology for about 7-8 years. Most recently I've been interested in quake prediction.

I'll be up front and say I'm a student of skepticism and critical thinking as well, so admitedly I disagree with much of what I see in "non-mainstream" prediction efforts. However, I also try to remain open-minded and try to give everything consideration at least once.

I do have a website where I have sections on several of my interests. Besides earthquakes, other major sections are on astronomy and lasers.

Recently however, I have been performing my own quake prediction experiment. I call this my Earthquake Dart Board. Today is my 90th day running. Interestingly, this all started as a challenge by Petra due to my criticisms of the quake forecasts of Stan Deyo. I invite everyone to take a look at my work. But being up front again, I do not claim to have any real predictive ability. But bragging for a moment, my current hit count just went over 2000. :)

As I pointed out already, I just hit the 90 day mark and I will now be working on a report to summarize the results and explain my methods.

Anyway, I plan on doing more reading than posting for now, but do hope to have a good time here either way.
