Re: SCEC Receives Prediction Funding |
Hi Chris, No one knows what Jordan's program will or won't include and though I would like to participate I rather doubt that I would be accepted, but I learned a long time ago that if a wall is to high, then one must either go around it or over it. This requires creative intelligence; a design to meet the obstacle in one's path; and it is also inspiring to understand there are many such events during anyone's lifetime. However, it may be a progression of these events which teach us that we can indeed overcome. The best news is that since using Roger Hunter's ring map program for the first time we can see what I could never in words ever imagined. It makes light out of darkness and presents a clear view of what is reported and the results. The hours it would have taken me to do this manually would have always been more than I could have managed and I know I could not have done so well. This is an obstacle now set aside and I am more than pleased with the outcome. Therefore as we are where we are now I can take the information and share it and I have learned of more than one place where it can be shared, other than here. To me it is important that it is shared outside of this place because we could talk about it forever, but others need to see it. They need to understand it and an instrument needs to be developed which can do what we do. We do have one consideration and that is we have people involved and their privacy must be guarded and on the Internet we cannot afford that, but in other places this concern does not exist. And in that regard, it is a research project and not meant for the prying eyes of the public at this point in time. I don't think I've ever been so imbued with enthusiasm about this project and other events as I have been in the past month or so. In writing I pushed myself harder than ever and I think I've written close to 50,000 words in a little over two weeks. Suddenly I could see where I've been the past six years; the names, places, events and realize there is so much more to be done. It isn't the end, but the beginning of something new and also I learned; There are no bridges to far.
