Todd, I'm glad you enjoyed it too. The San Francisco Symphony is doing a special event on the night of April 18th and that is their commerative contribution. I bet that will be nice too. I noticed today that the USGS is doing an open house this year. For anyone who hasn't been they are very enjoyable and the scientists are rather friendly at those events. I was telling Don earlier today that I'm having a problem with them in regard to the place/city names they are using in their catalogs and to that end I sent an e-mail expressing my unhappiness with this. You may have noticed today they listed the quake in Hayward on the catalog list as Fairview. Both Hayward and Fairview are one mile from the epicenter and certainly it is on the Hayward Fault. My opinion is that I haven't got a clue what Fairview is; whether it is another city, a shopping center or a subdivision, but I want to see Hayward there. They have done the same in regard to quakes occurring in Sonoma. They list them as Temelec and Temelec is a subdivision, not a city. The place where most of the quakes occur is on Turkey Farm Road, so I think Sonoma should be used, not a subdivision name. Frankly, this is misleading the public and they need to fix it like yesterday. Hopefully, they'll see the wisdom in my request. Their motto says "Science for a Changing World" but so far Hayward is still on the map as well as Sonoma. Yeah, a night at The Palace Hotel would be fabulous and I'd love to swim in their pool. Petra
