Story by: Jason Ching 4/25/2005 1:00:00 AM While gophers may have trouble preparing for a possible flood from this winter's record snowfall, the University of Nevada, Reno’s environmental health & safety department is reminding the community of steps that can be taken to prepare for possible flooding. As spring is blossoming and temperatures are rising, EH&S officials will be on the lookout for runoff from the high levels of snow that the mountains received this past winter. As is the case historically, floods are most likely to result when high snow levels and warm temperatures meet in the early springtime.
