I know I've noticed more avalanche warnings in the snow resorts... Also, the flooding of the Tahoe-Reno area during 97 was bad. However, the locals tell me they've never experienced these prior warm temperatures during winter. So yeah, I'm concerned. And if the rain continues I'm thinking routes to get out on 80 and 50 will be closed and prone to flash floods, mudslides as they were during the New Year... Hmm. Maybe I will be "snowbound" more than I want to be in the upcoming months, huh? Any ideas on how to get to the Bay Area and out of here in a safe way? If Reno gets flooded like it has in the past, I suppose getting to the airport is a no go as well. Where is Roger, the master evaluator, when I need him.
