I can't beleive I took a statistics course, but I did. Your various analyses pushed me over the edge and I decided enlightenment was the answer. I got an "A", by the way, so thanx, inadvertently, you helped to push me into a direction where I can now make sense about things like "degrees" of freedom" and sigma from 's'. The mechanics were easy, the definitions were "interesting".
