Lets see if I can throw a rock in the gears here. Based on Delorme So. and Central Calif Atlas, and various Google and Terraserver maps and images this Boron 3.7 quake and it`s aftershocks appear to me to be approx. 9 to 9.5 miles north of Four Corners/ Kramer Jct. on 395 and about 1 mile east of the highway on a road called Fremont Peak Rd. This puts it about 9.5 miles NE of the Borax open pit mine. I couldn`t find any evidence of mining operations in the images I looked at. Might be a new mine. I suspect the name Boron was given because that is the closest community of any size. Other ideas? Byron
