Welcome to an extremely polite and interesting place! I am a retired geologist, and as such have heard of the Toba Eruption for several years. I think that there is so much to be learned--and particularly by cooperation between and among the sciences. Alas, in many ways we are struggling "uphill" these days with cuts in funding and a decidedly "anti-science" philosophy in power. I hope that we humans can get sensible before the next big geologic or biologic crisis ("Civilization Exists by the Consent of Geology") happens.
