Hi John. Alfred Wegener suggested in 1915 that the seven continents were once one large landmass that broke apart creating the continents, which then drifted to their current locations. This was rejected at the time because he couldn’t explain how the continents moved. It took 50 years or so for the proof to be discovered. He wasn’t wrong. It was only thought that he was wrong. Was it because he was a weatherman and not a geologist that he was wrong?
