Hi Cathryn,

Tonight I had to take a pause for the cause. We have a neighborhood watch group around here and when something oddball happens, which is a little too frequent this man sends out e-mails and tell everyone to keep an eye out...so here's my early evening report.....Petra (you think you're life is complicated... ha ha....)

Hi XXXX,

Long time, no talk. That was good while it lasted. LOL

As you know, I'm not one to file police reports, but tonight I thought otherwise. My house sits behind XXX Street and tonight, about 6:40 - 6:45pm, I opened my garage door from the inside as I was going to go out and move my car into the garage. I saw a bunch of leaves had piled up there, so I grabbed my broom and started sweeping toward my left. Then I started sweeping toward the right and all of the sudden my eyes went upward and I saw this young man sitting on a bicycle about 12 feet from me.

At first I was mortified because I realized he had been sitting there all along and I never noticed him. Geez. Anyway, there he was on the bicycle which was in front of one of the neighbors vehicles, yet for him, out of sight of the street. So he couldn't see it, nor could anyone from the street view him either. A moment or so passed and I decided to let him make the first move and he said "Hi" and rode off.

Here's his description:
Male, XXX, in his twenties
Black hair, cut short, slightly receding hair line, he had a mustache
Small build, 5' 3"s tall
He was wearing light colored blue jeans and a black lightweight parka which snapped up the front. He didn't have any rain gear on at all.
The bike was rather old fashioned, not new or sporty and not a ten speed either.

I have no idea at all why he was there, but even moreso I can't understand why he didn't ride off the minute I opened the garage door or shortly thereafter. He was sitting there maybe three minutes before I caught sight of him. He didn't seem to be on drugs or drunk either.

It was just one of those truly weirdly odd moments. When I spoke to the woman at the police department I told her we had suspicious people out here all of the time, including XXXX the Peeper and she laughed and said, "everyone knows him."

Frankly, XX, I have a hunch the police know who he is. That's my esp at work. But I think I have it right. I just wonder why they know who he is.

So, please send out a note to the XXX folks and tell them to open their eyes when they go outside and be a little sharper than I was.

Thanks,
