Hey Cathryn & Chris, Thanks for sharing. I know everybody has issues with all kinds of things regarding privacy, and I certainly respect that. I have never written a book or work in the geology field. As close as I get to geology is to go climb all over it. I enjoy mountaineering, so I get to see lots or rocks in the process. I have worked for about 22 years in the Information Technology field, primarily as a programmer. My interest in Siesmology stems from and early wakup call I received about 4:31am on January 17th, 1994. I was sound asleep in my apartment at the time, located about 1 mile (corner of Wilbur and Saticoy to the corner of Reseda and Lindley) from the epicenter of the Northridge Earthquake. When I woke up, I was in the process of being literally thrown out of bed onto the floor. The whole event and the weeks after that was quite a head trip to say the least. Anyways, It left quite a lasting impression, and I have been interested in quakes ever since.
