I still use OS 9.1 and haven't updated browsers for a while or used versions for OS X. My browsers have cache settings under 'Preferences' below the 'Edit' menu. From there, in Internet Explorer 5.0 select Advanced - Cache. In iCab 9.1 select Caches - Web Pages. In Netscape Communicator 4.75 try Navigator - advanced - cache. (Navigator settings are named differently from the others. I seldom use it so haven't tried changing its defaults.)
