I know we can all get terribly serious about predicting earthquakes, but every now and then someone should do it just for fun. And that's what's going on currently on Sci-Geo-Earthquakes (goggle newgroup). Poster Skywise is trying to beat Stan Deyo, even though his selections are not by warm sea surface temperatures as Deyo presents.

You're all invited to go and have a look see, check the progress as it goes along and see what another layperson is making out of predicting earthquakes in his own unique way.
