Have a lot of ideas on mitigation and retrofitting-ie.styrofoam, wood, fiberglass (preferably,eventually, HEMP) made old building replacement rooftop ornaments. To replace those menacing things I pass under everyday on Victoria's busy streets. So many hazards so little time! Victoria was built the same time same plans same bricks and similar topography as San Francisco. add 95 yrs for the mortar to rot. They say we are second highest seismic hazard (large event)in the world, next to Alaska. Way overdue then...You get lots under 7.5, but we are due for a 9+ sometime. But not yesterday.mb. p.s.
