Finally I am forcing myself to revise my/our long manuscript on the Santa Monica-Dume fault. It is too long and complicated. So far today I have trimmed 3000 characters and spaces (out of 76,000)...not counting references and figure captions. (2/3 of this cut was identified by a reviewer for cutting...) Ideally, within a week or 2 I will have gotten the length of the paper down to zero and it will be become a homeopathic publication on one blank page.
