The ear block is a situation where the sound in one ear or the other is totally blocked from exterior sounds. Usually one has this blocking sensation and then a tone follows in the same ear, but it's been known to occur in the other as well. Years of research conclude that ear blocks denote earthquakes which will occur near or in water. So if one is hunting for a place to look this clue is a big one.
