Now this is a good question... we in California are somewhat spoiled with the beautiful weather... no Hurricanes, or tornados (well.. a few wind storms or water spouts occasionally - they don't dare call them tornados around here)

While we do have the occasional deadly earthquake.. about every 10-20 years, I still don't know if there are any more pleasant places to live.

A friend has purchased some real estate in Bisbee Arizona - now their tmperature is a bit moderate - much better than Phoenix or Tucson as there is some elevation, and there is a bit of snow in the winter... but I don't think there are any geologic issues... of course, there isn't much there either...
