Sounds like a good one. But the one I'd suggest is Bruce Bolt's, "Earthquakes" (revised and updated). Not only is the writing in a language everyone can understand, its also interesting. In the back there are several formula's one can use, so it is a teaching tool as well as a wonderful book.

After I read it, I came across a few questions and he was nice enough to respond to them. I have come to be acquainted with some old friends of his of late. Both delightful personalities. They told me they thought highly of Bolt themselves. As he is more or less in my neighborhood, its not difficult to run into people who know each other.
