An earthquake during a strong Santa Ana wind condition is the worst case scenario for southern California. It will be like a hurricane hitting New Orleans during high tide. In 1970, the Arrowhead fire grew to 10,000 acres in less than 5 hours. In your initial post, you hit the nail on the head. It is an earthquake with wildfire. You must be prepared for both all the time. Remember that in 1906, it was fire that destroyed San Fransisco. I agree with Don that the next big quake will strike without warning. No body will predict it. Stay prepared, and sleep easy knowing you are ready. glen
